Betty's Birthday at Merrick Inn with Rick--NO RECIPE--

In this video, Betty and her husband, Rick, celebrate Betty's 61st birthday at Merrick Inn in Lexington, Kentucky. Merrick Inn was originally part of a large horse farm, but it was turned into a restaurant about 30 years ago. It is a beautiful dining experience, and Rick and I always have a wonderful time there. For my birthday dinner, I ordered White Meat Fried Chicken, New Potato Casserole, Creamed Spinach, French Silk Pie, iced tea, and coffee. Rick had Fried Walleye Pike, Tomato Casserole, French Fries, Peanut Butter Pie, and a Diet Coke. Accompanying our meals were fluffy yeast rolls with butter. The food was great! Rick gave me a silver neck chain to use with one of my pendants, and I was happy to get that. As always, we had a wonderful time. At home, my family regaled me by singing "Happy Birthday" (Don't count on Carter to make a career of singing!) and presented me with gifts and birthday cake. I had a great birthday! This video is not very clear, and there is a lot of chatter in the background. I apologize for the quality of the video--but the lighting was not good for making a video. I appreciate your understanding. I will be making one of the items that Rick or I ordered during my birthday meal. I hope you will enjoy it! Betty :)
